Debuting on March 29, 2002, the weekly talk show focused the first thirteen-week season exploring topics related to the business use of information technology, the state of the technology industry, best practices, and future technical trends. The show, at that time, was directed toward the executive who had little time to keep up on the latest business focus, by allowing him to schedule a one-hour weekly “lunch and learn” he could listen to on his computer in the privacy of his office.
The debut series was well received, due largely to the caliber and quality of the guests Leah had selected. The audience broadened to include not only Chief Information Officers, but other senior executives who provided feedback on topics they found of interest. Leah broadened the focus of the show and featured guests who spoke on using information to gain a competitive business edge and added “The Young Entrepreneur Series”, allowing Leah to showcase the talents and potentials of Young Entrepreneurs.
The third thirteen week season continued to add to the library of shows on the business use of technology and added “The Learnings and Inspirations Series”. This allowed Leah to highlight and synthesize learnings from featured guests, from business owners, public figures, or people whose lives reflect their beliefs.
During the third and fourth series, Leah also added “The Transition Series”. When asked about this topic, she stated, quite candidly, “It seems everyone I’ve talked with, regardless of their previous level in an organization, is in transition. There have been massive layoffs in every sector of the economy. Certainly, the technology sector has been rocked on it’s ear. Technicians, who, during the Y2K efforts and for the two years following had recruiters calling their desk numbers are now unemployed en mass.
During the fifth series, Leah took the opportunity to highlight people who are at the “Top of Their Game” and showcased service and civic organizations, while continuing to have new episodes highlighting information technology best practices, “The Young Entrepreneur Series” and ”The Learnings and Inspirations Series”.
Guests have included CEOs, CIOs, CFOs, COOs, government officials, published experts in business, information technology, and other celebrated personalities.
